About ONOT
ONOT means seasons. "For everything there is a season...a time for building, a time for laughing, a time for loving, a time for dancing." In ONOT as we travel through the seasons, we grow as people and as dancers.
ONOT dance program provides structured educational and social opportunities for students to develop friendships, and have fun while exploring Jewish and Israeli culture, heritage, and traditions through Israeli Dance. ONOT invites dancers of all ability levels to join its program and does not require prior dance experience to participate.
Groups rehearse Sunday afternoons at Temple Emanuel in Newton, Massachusetts. Dancers learn harkada (recreational Israeli dances that are danced throughout the world) as well as original performance pieces (performing 4-6 times a year) that reflect the many different cultural influences in Israel.
